1000-hourly annual

Hi everyone!

 

My '81 J is going for a 1000-hourly annual next week (TTAF 1025). Just wondering if anyone has a list of items that need to be IRAN'ed or replaced at 1000-hour or a specific check list for 1000-hourly annual?

No special checklist for 1000 hour that I know of. Magneto 500 hour inspection will be due, and depending on your landing gear motor, perhaps an inspection or lubrication there. After that, whatever your AD list says.

500 hours inspection is a good idea but is not due . It is an SB , not an AD

In general, for part 91 operations, parts are overhauled or changed based in conditions . Unless there is an AD.

Take a look at your vacuum pump and if it is original, I would also suggest looking at your vacuum lines behind your panel, if they are original as well, you might want to consider replacing them.

Lots and lots of stuff is going to be need to be replaced if it is original on a 35-year-old airframe, regardless of how many, or few, hours it has flown.
