moosebreath Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 A pair of wing mounted fuel gages just removed from my 1996 M20J during installation of bladder tanks. They are in nice condition and were working properly when removed. $250 for the pair with free shipping in the US. Reply to biplane AT mooseaviation.com Quote
Cwalsh7997 Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 I am xtremely ready to buy these but a couple things I want to know is, how accurate are they and second how much is the install of them? Quote

Reply to biplane AT mooseaviation.com I would buy them in a heart beat if they were for a K. I see that it shows only 25 gal, where I have 36 g in each tank... Quote
Alan Fox Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 Will fit all Mooneys , same wing means the only difference SHOULD be the scale ... Quote
Tony__L Posted July 7, 2015 Report Posted July 7, 2015 I want them. Consider them sold. Moosebreath (scary name by the way), are you coming to Oshkosh? I will PM you to arrange payment, etc. Quote
Houman Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 Can someone post the company website that sell these. I can swear I had seen it somewhere, either LASAR or some other MSC... Thanks !!! Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 Any MSC should be able to sell them to you. They are standard Mooney parts. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Piloto Posted July 8, 2015 Report Posted July 8, 2015 These gages are accurate and useful for knowing fuel onboard. Specially during refueling. I didn't know that you loose them with bladders. José Quote
moosebreath Posted July 9, 2015 Author Report Posted July 9, 2015 The gages are sold. Yes they are lost during a bladder installation as there is no penetration in the bladder below the mounting location to accommodate them. Various approaches have been taken to deal with the gages including removing the mechanism and placarding the now inoperative gage. I chose to remove the gage completely, flush patch the hole in the wing, and repaint to match. Quote
ryoder Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Can they be seen from the cockpit while flying? Quote
ArtVandelay Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Can they be seen from the cockpit while flying? Yes, but you have to lean far over to see the right side. 1 Quote
ryoder Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 Yes, but you have to lean far over to see the right side. Sounds good. Passenger can help read them though or I could use binoculars I really want these. I guess I should call Mooney. Quote
