Awful_Charlie......why do you eat flies ? ;-)

He ain't from around here (I used to live in Dalton), and his punctuation is bad . . . Should be a "comma and" in there.

Me, I'm just hanging back in the cheap seats, enjoying my Mooney for much less. Two feet less, two cylinders less, ~50 knots less; but the 100 hp less gets me there eventually on 10-12 gph less.

Key points for any Mooney purchase is a good PPI, tank inspection (yep, resealed mine), insurance confirmation and transition training from a knowledgable CFII (some posted above already). Then there are the Bravo issues mentioned above. And check the gear pucks (replaced mine last year, now land and taxi much smoother); Bravo pucks wear out sooner due to heavier nose.

Happy hunting, and fly safe!

Definitely define your mission, the bravo is a fun airplane to fly. But if you're only looking for fun if suggest something else. I had or rather my grandpa had a 99 206 and when I got into flying he bought a c 182 rg that we both flew, which ended up destroyed in a tornado. When it came time for me to buy my own, I couldn't resist the mooney numbers. The 182 rg definitely fit the mission better, but I love speed and love looking at the mooney. I guess my point is if you need a 172 but want a bravo maybe look at a j, but if your mission requires a bravo you will have no Ragrets, not even one letter. I agree with everyone else make sure tanks don't leak (mine has a small one after about 35 hours after purchase) Buy the airframe and engine you want, avionics don't constitute an investment that will yield great returns but at least if you buy an airplane with a deficiency id rather put my own panel, less surprises. Just replaced kln90 with GNS 750.
