Looking for a Mooney Mecanic to do a pre-purchase inspection in Montreal

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a 1979 Mooney M20K and need a certified mechanic to do a pre-purchase inspection.

 

It has gone trough the 305 rocket conversion and ideally I'm looking for someone with some Mooney Experience with these type of engines.

 

The plane is located in Montreal Canada, if there is a mechanic with the experience but not local, I can arrange for travel.

I think I might know that plane. Did it used to live in Arizona? I forget the N number, I would need to look it up. If it is the same plane I have about 3 hours in it. And I know the mechanic who used to maintain it. It was maintained very well. (I even worked on it myself a time or two)

I have contacted the reference here, he seems very competent, but scheduling might be a problem, does anyone knows someone else that can help here ?

The one closest to you I would recommend is Eric Fauteux from Gestion Aerofax in Lachute

He did some work on my Mooney and he maintains several. Tell him you were sent by me Yves Grenier :-)

he is not an MSC but I trust his judgement.

+1 for Éric, he has been taken care of my Mooney for 4 years now and he's both competent and honest.

He's also the seaplane guru in the area and the season is coming around the corner, so his agenda will be filling up quickly!
