Alan Fox Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 At that price , it will remain homeless.... Quote
jrwilson Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 Yeah...ouch is right. To paraphrase forest gump; momma always said , if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Quote
Hank Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Wow. No GPS, 50 hours/year average, likely declining for the last several years. I just don't see this being a viable option to my /G that regularly flies IMC with half SMOH and 1/3 lower TT. Any idea how to attach an 8-channel engine monitor to a 4-cylinder engine? Quote

DaV8or Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 To the OP- Sorry people here seem to be a bit jaded, or grumpy, or I don't know what. Your plane looks nice and well kept. Sad truth is, in today's crappy market, IMO it is a bit over priced. I totally understand starting out high so that you can bargain down to a price you're comfortable with, but in this market, there is just too much competition to go very high as a starting point. If you wish to sell your plane fast, or even in the next 6 months or so, you'll need to adjust. If you want what you want, then more power to you and fly on! Keep her flying. It's really good to show use in the log books. Much more important than a lower TT, or TSMOH to many of today's educated buyers. Good luck with the sale and welcome to MooneySpace! Quote

Hank Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Hank, is your plane for sale? Negative! Although I am debating an "upgrade. " 1 Quote
mike28w Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Jeez..... Remind me to never try to sell something on this site !! Seems awfully rude to be discussing a seller's price online . That's a topic between seller and buyer and is no one elses' business. I apologize to the Seller of this plane ....... mike 2 Quote
carusoam Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 The seller has all the opportunity to explain why his plane is worth what one professional says will remain homeless. Potential Seller = 2 posts Pro A&P / plane sales guy = 1000 posts It's probably not proper, but Alan isn't either... Bud Bundy is the alter ego of his V-tailed Bonanzer. Hang in there Mike. Best regards, -a- Quote

carusoam Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Mike, Don't be dissapointed. You've been here long enough to know... We didn't pay for moderators. For the most part, we don't need no stinking moderators... The seller as well as you are invited to discuss things in an open fashion. The moderator comes in to play when politics and advertising gets in the way of open and honest Mooney aviation... Ya know? So based on this discussion, I went back to see the advertisement.... There is no mention of total time on the airframe or if it had a GPS. The time since major overhaul, doesn't leave much meat on the bone. I sold my C for half his asking price... There are both risks and advantages here. If you are truly offended... There is a button you can push to the bottom right...."report". It will get attention somewhere. The discussion would probably bring out the details... I guess it shouldn't have been said in a public forum, -a- Quote
Cruiser Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Guys, I am going to let you in on a secret............ sshhh! is anybody listening? There is GOLD in Kalifornia Quote
Alan Fox Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 Not trying to be a Jerk , (but succeeding anyway) The objective is to sell an airplane , I hope he gets all the money , I know I cant.....more power to him..... Quote
mike28w Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 The seller as well as you are invited to discuss things in an open fashion. This isn't a debate. He's not asking for our opinions. He didn't ask for our personal valuation of his plane. He's simply trying to sell his plane .... To post your plane in a classifed section and then have a bunch of guys come along and critique what you're selling ???? Tell me honestly, would you want this done to you ?? Certainly , not me. mike BTW..... I don't know either the plane or the seller and don't know anything about "the gold in California....." and it really doesn't matter what you or I sold our plane for.......................... 1 Quote
carusoam Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 No, but I probably won't be selling here either... Mooneyspace is a conversation with a for sale section. Fortunately it's not TAP with a conversation about Mooneys or AAA in San Antonio. If I do, I will check on the conversation a bit more frequently... The seller has two posts in his post count. I couldn't find the second post. I would call his price a "premium" price to be nice. Then I would follow up with questions if I were interested. But, I'm not. Is anyone else??? Should a send him a pm? Best regards, -a- Quote
TWinter Posted January 5, 2014 Report Posted January 5, 2014 I think the MS input has been just "Constructive Criticism" to help facilitate the sale. There, now we are politically correct. Quote
mike28w Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 I think the MS input has been just "Constructive Criticism" to help facilitate the sale. If this is just constructive criticism , what would folks be saying if they wanted to screw up the sale ?? How would I tell the difference ? What's becoming obvious , though, is that everyone else seems to think that these actions are perfectly acceptable....... I thought Mooney owners weren't like Bonanza owners....guess I was wrong. Thanks for the education. mike 1 Quote

tonyk628 Posted January 6, 2014 Report Posted January 6, 2014 I find it ironic that Alan is saying this guy's plane is overpriced, but he is also trying to sell the same thing with his E.... 1 Quote
