Welcome! Could you tell me a bit about those panel overlays? Are they real wood? I saw a Debonair once that was outfitted similarly. It what you'd see in a reminiscent of the British automobile in the 60s. I liked the look a lot; but the owner told me it was a custom job with a not so moderate price tag...

Great looking aircraft James! As a C owner, you will have to put up with a lot of C envy from the other model owners. If you're an engineer, you will get double envy here.

Welcome aboard. I had my M20C for more than 10 years now... and I still love her. It is a great plane. I am sure you will enjoy her and the great Mooney community. Don;t hesitate to ask questions. The guys here know a lot and are extremely helpful! Just don't start arguing about LOP and ROP... or 2 and 3 blade props.

Nice plane.  I just got a '67 M20C in June and have been enjoying it.  This is a great place to learn a lot about it.  I am not too far away.  Might see you around some time.  Enjoy.

If you like to work on your machine, you will enjoy much of the advice like how to replace that ragged thing next to the door and the matching seal that goes with it.

Congrats! I owned a C for 5 yrs and traded up last spring, still miss it badly. So many things a C can do. The C and E were probably the most versatile ever made by Mooney, fast, tough, economical...... I don't know of any other 180/200 hp airplane that can do 145-155 Kt, land on grass, climb into the teens, they are just so versatile.

They are a wood veneer with a thin plastic backing. They are a custom job. Nice little check list on them.

Yes, a group of locals will likely fly down Thursday morning. Land at Waycross for lunch, then on to Lakeland.
