    This is all a matter of perception. They have this in place to make general population believe they "do" something to protect them. Same thing with the eAPIS. How many terrorists did not manage to get in (or exit the) USA due to that? It is also a way to justify several civil servant jobs. In my line of work, if you want to put something in place where you cannot measure benefits after it was put in place, this will not fly high with upper management. It all has to do with politics.     I wonder how many Mooney pilots are fans of the blackbirds? I am one for sure. Have read all books about Kelly Johnson, Ben Rich, Skunk Works et al. Sadly, I discovered this passion after they got grounded for good. I wish I could have seen one flying. Yves

I am home now. If any folks still at Oshkosh could go to their booth and ask them the following questions? What is the requirement as far as STC (if any) for our Mooneys? Where and when will this fuel be available? Will this fuel be cheaper than 100 LL and by how much? Yves

    Cabin altitudes in airlines is between 8K to 10K I believe (but I am not an expert into this). If it would be unsafe for the ears for babies, they would not be allowed to fly. Yves

    Oshkosh is presently closed due to a crash. An aircraft hit the ground and bursted into flames while landing on runway 27. According to a marshaller, the aircraft did a tight turn and stalled. Aircraft is a low wing. Airport is NOTAM closed for an unknown period. This is all the information we have. Yves

    The reason is simple... the $100 is a recognition that they screwed you already on the USA package and only want to screw you a little more...I paid $700 CDN for the year which is outrageous. Yves

    I was 1/3 partner on the Mooney I now completely own for a while many years ago. We had a clever system to devise who pays what: fixed costs were 1/3 each. Usage costs were paid by the users. Let me know if you need more detail. There was not any set hourly rate. Yves
