  1. Thanks Eric, but I was wanting for Simpson to tell me how the GPS (those are the 24 low earth orbit satellites that the United States launched) constellation of satellites is different in Europe than in the US. Because its not. They only difference is the WAAS correction satellite the Europeans launched. Which was irrelevant to the original question.
  2. The GPS satellite constellation?
  3. Jerry, Some things in life don't make sense. I applaud you for bringing YOUR girl back to the glory she once had!!! GO FOR IT!!!
  4. I would guess you spilled oil and didn't get it all cleaned up, so when you went flying some showed up at the base of the prop. Was the oil also found on the front of the cowl?
  5. dead? I found this on the Navworks website: Proposed FAA Airworthiness Directive: We are anticipating an FAA AD to be issued on existing ADS600-B Systems. Be assured we have taken steps to ensure seamless instructions for AD compliance. Upon issuance and review, NavWorx is prepared to release a new software revision which will allow for continued operation up to 2020. It is anticipated that the software update will not require removal of system components and can be completed by utilizing existing configuration computer port already installed in aircraft installation. As stated above, we have established an upgrade path for existing customers to upgrade to the new ADS600-B NexGen 2.0 System that will comply with FAA 2020 mandate.
  6. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll give it a shot this weekend. Thank You!
  7. You need to keep that one! she sounds awesome.....
  8. Doesn't require but is there a way to connect up all three? I really don't want to loose traffic and weather off of the iPad.
  9. The latest release of foreflight 9.1 and the avidyne 10.2 update should enable a 2 way connection according to the foreflight 9.1 release notes. Has anyone tried this and can they share how they got it to work? was it via Bluetooth? via wifi? need a stratus in between?
  10. Can a esi500 be a CDI?

  14. I agree, Miss Mooney pit is definitely a woman. She likes to bite when you don't treat her with respect and also requires constant attention. Just like a red head....
  15. thats what I think the issue is too Jose
  16. sort of, if you have already added the wires for the monitor function, which you are going to want.
  17. but the front panel is different on the 240. very intuitive. I like the monitor function.
  18. you have a tough one. Is the engine grounded properly to the frame?
  19. I am just amazed at the saga......sounds like the basis for a reality TV show
  20. I'd run a piece of safety wire in the vent to make sure its not blocked with a mud dobber.
  21. The reason low wing aircraft have a boost pump is because the engine is higher than the fuel tank. The boost pump is at the lowest point in the fuel system. This insures there is a gravity feed to the pump and the boost pump lifts the gas to the engine. In most cases there is enough of a siphon to maintain pressure to the engine that the boost pump doesn't do anything. The POH has you turn on the boost pump at critical phases of flight (landing and take off) when the aircraft is experiencing maximum differential rate pressure changes to minimize the hazard, . In addition to checking your fuel pumps, I would check you fuel tank venting system.
  22. I'm not saying that basic med is an improvement for some, I'm happy for them. I'm annoyed that the AOPA declared victory and didn't keep pursuing the excemption for GA. I want them to continue to advocate for me, not quit and declare success when they didn't achieve the original goal.
  23. Bob, when the AOPA started down this road it was sold to the membership as an exemption to 14 cfr 61.23 (remember the drivers license medical) but we ended up with an ELOS. I understand about compromise but when the AOPA declared victory and just let the issue drop without continuing to pursue the exemption, they lost me as a member.
  24. i like it,
