  1. There is one pump, located underneath the passenger seat and one actuator underneath the rear seat. Your "rear pump" picture is actually the actuator. I just had my actuator rebuilt, it was leaking. Common parts you can get at spruce.
  2. Thank God I live in the United States of America, where the best I can tell, we still have some freedoms left.
  3. Why did you overhaul the mag? When the engine was running rough did you do an inflight mag check? I would suspect the mag that was rebuilt 50 hours ago. A bad cap in the mag would have similar symptoms.
  4. yes
  5. I guess it depends on where I am going. If I have to transition an active MOA, I guess I might consider FF instead of talking to the controlling agency. Mike, if it makes you feel more comfortable to get flight following, then you should make use of the service. I prefer not to talk to anyone if I don't have to. In either case it is still the pilots responsibility to see and avoid. Not the controllers.
  6. you cancel flight following, sqwak 1200, and stay out of the class C.
  7. Yes, When flying into an airport, I push the freq button on the 540/440, load the ATIS in the standby and the UNICOM in the active. Push the monitor button when I want to hear both frequencies at the same time. I don't know how avidyne implements it, but it acts like I have two independent receivers,
  8. I'm with Cliffy. I prefer to exercise my god given freedoms as an american whenever I can. Why would I want someone to tell me where to go and what to do?
  9. I have the 240 installed. I like it. Its really very simple and intuitive. If you're interfacing it to a 440 or 540, make sure your shop installs the wires to monitor the standby frequency. I love the blue tooth. My iPad automatically connects to the panel whenever I power up and the alerts from foreflight I hear in my headset. If you don't already have the 440 or 540, and don't care about the standby audio, I would probably go with the PS Engineering unit.
  10. I have had the same great experience with DC as well. They have awesome customer service.
  11. you should reply with: Dear Mr. Saxena, It is with deep regret that I must inform you that the new Mooney Aircraft I was thinking about purchasing, I am no longer considering. I will be purchasing a Cirrus instead.
  12. My 68F has an airspeed switch as well. If you want to go obtain a field approval, you can bypass it with a single pole, single throw switch.
  13. At the end of the day, I personally think that medical reform will fail. It will be easier to get an AME to provide you a third class medical certificate than it will be to have your personal physician (who practices defense medicine because they are afraid of litigation) sign off on a form that they don't understand. Time will tell.
  14. I think he kinda looks like dad! Congratulations!! Santa needs to bring him a headset.
  15. I'm kinda thinking you need to fix the CHT problem before anything else. Is your baffling good?
  16. I assume you have the Scott parking brake valve, Its not hard to replace the O-rings and washers. You can buy the O-ring for the shaft from spruce for under a buck
  17. you really need to answer Raptor05121's question. Do you have a SOS? Has SI 1325A been done? What are you timing the engine to? 25 or 20 degrees? we really need all this information to figure out whats going on.
  18. .....a M20J and a C-130J
  19. We should start a Mooney net on 40. Jose can be net control.
  20. I remember my first owner assisted annual. l seem to remember every grease fitting I either had to remove and replace or spray some brake cleaner in there and let it sit a few minutes before using this: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200361819_200361819 There was no way the under carriage was getting greased at prior annuals.
  21. deleted
  22. go to maxwell
  23. looks like the weather is going to be great. http://www.cullmanregionalairport.org/assets/PDFs/Menu_lite_edited.pdf
