  1. Your long, rambling difficult to read and follow post has done nothing but cost you potential customers and turn people who might consider your product away from it.
  2. No other if it's going to happen it is usually within the 1st 5 or 10 minutes. I have not saw it happen on any other websites and do remember it happening when I'm logged in. I can't put my finger on anything in particlar that makes it pop up
  3. Logged out
  4. I just had it happen again. It's impossible to back out of.
  5. I can look and see later this week. The interav alternator seems to be a good unit, if you have problems with the regulator or overvoltage relay the planepower regulator is a legal replacement if you have the interav STC and much cheaper also.
  6. The Accutrac will add the ability to the wing leveler to track a gps or nav radio. The Accuflite will allow the wing leveler to fly a DG heading. You can add one or both. The system also needs a BI805 valve to work. The Accuflite and Accutrac can share a single BI 805 valve. I have an extra Accutrac if anyone is interested in adding both.
  7. I have not had them pop up today.
  8. I see it any time I'm not logged in. It's difficult to get away from it and back to Mooneyspace.
  9. I can't remember from your previous post, are you VFR only or do you plan to get your IFR rating? You will want a GPS in either situation to drive the autopilot. The difference is you can install a VFR only gps to drive the autopilot for under 1K but any of the WASS options are going to be over 10K after you add a CDI+install. You can build up a very nice VFR panel including primary engine monitor and nice audio panel for 15K, but will have to skimp on some stuff if its IFR.
  10. The flight school at our local airport has a program open to high school students where they can take an aviation class in high school free of charge. They will receive their pilots license just before they graduate. I believe it is currently limited to 5 students each year who have to be selected based on essays and other factors.
  11. I received a letter directly from my underwritter US Speciality today. They are changing their policy guidelines and pricing structure. When my policy comes up for renewal in August the following changes will apply. Price increase 1M smooth coverage not available deductible increased to $2500 Ive been with this company 4 years and never had a claim.
  12. If its still running fine keep using it. When you overhaul depending on which option you choose your most likely going to get a new one anyway. Its also easy to replace a single wire or end if one particular wire is a problem.
  13. Start showing up at his shop a couple of afternoons a week with your tools. Ask him to show you where you can start or what you can do to get things ready while he is busy with something else.
  14. Don, I would be happy to make any 3D models you need. I also have a 3D printer and can print Prototype parts if you need something to "Lay your Hands on" before machining parts. For clamping force consider some of these under the nut to provide the clamping force. They can be stacked if needed to get the desired load. They will maintain a constant load over time much better than just a bolt/nut. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-disc-springs/=12v3j66
  15. Airpower is great. They work with all the major underwriters. They will contact your about a month before renewal and asked for updated information and any changes you make. They will then foward you each underwriter quote as they receive them. Just be sure your agent is shopping your policy with every available underwriter. A couple of years I believe there were 7.
  16. Seems like there is a lot to be said for an old fashion Ring Gear around the OD of the flywheel.
  17. I would offer the thought that if these kids knew that bad behavior would get them 6 licks with a especially designed board in the office as well as more when they got home much of this behavior would go away.
  18. A hometown news outlet quoted family as saying she owned the plane and flew it regularly. It would be interesting to know of this was a carefully planned trip or a jump in the plane and go we will figure it out when we get there trip.
  19. It may still be that their is a EMI/RFI event being generated by something on the plane which is then being picked up by the antenna and transmitted down the coax to the handeld or regular com radio. Based on the numerous coaxes and antenna's already tried it likely comes back to something being radiated by something else on the plane and then picked up by the antenna.
  20. Remove the com coaxes from the radios and place 50ohm termination caps over both radio side of the coax connections and see if it is still present. This should confirm if it is indeed coming in over the coax or if its coming in on the radio wiring.
  21. It sounds like your on TDC of the exhaust stroke. To be sure your really on the compression stroke put your finger over the hole and the pressure should push it away as the piston comes up. You will need to remove the mag and rotate the prop 360 deg if this is not correct. If the mag has been disassembled they may have got the internal large gear off by 1/2 turn also. With the lock pin in the correct (left) place the button finger should be pointed to deliver spark to #1.
  22. Look for an adjustable pot or removable cover near the mic. Slide the windscreen cover back. On the Lightspeeds I have owned the dipswitches didn't control the mic gain. Its usually a variable adjustment.
  23. Your Light Speed headset has a mic gain on it. Turn it down some. If I remember correctly it's a small screw under the mic cover. If this causes the regular radio to be too low there is a mic gain on the audio panel to compensate. Its possible your handheld might have the adjustment also.
  24. If its related to load and not RPM then it could be from the brushes arcing more under higher field current or coming from the regulator. If you need a regulator the Plane Power regulator seems to be a very good unit, I've had one for 4 years and its been very stable. A full bridge 3Phase rectifier with a peak voltage out of 14.1 will have about 1.97VAC P-P riding on it. It will be up to the RC constant of the battery/wiring to filter it from there. With the loss of a single diode the P-P voltage will become around 7VAC.
  25. I think if a couple of people are serious about buying a plane under a partnership they should go ahead and form the partnership/LLC/Bank Account and place some amount of money in it. This commits everyone. Then go look for a plane/hanger.
