  2. How do I adjust the compatibity settings on my computer? I am running windows 7 for now. runs good on my iPad. Ron
  3. My plane is at Troutdale right now. The plan is 3 weeks start to finish. Greg took me to PDX for my flight home and plans to pick me up also. Sept 15 is my pick up date. He said it will be ready a couple of days before. I planned on a couple of extra days, just in case. Ron
  4. Lasar, put the switch in for me at my last annual. Ron 69F
  5. bonal I am trying to fly to Lakeport today. According to Flight Service, 91.137 A2 We can still operate in and out of Lakeport. ??? If we can not get into Lakeport, would you be willing to pick me up in Ukiah?? We should be up there about 2. Thank You Ron 559 577-2398
  6. Are the seat backs on the front seats higher, Head rests? Looks Great, some thing that I have been thinking about for my F. You may have sold me on this. Ron
  7. I have a 69F model. I like the throttle quadrant set up. I can grab all 3 controls with one hand and manipulate them when needed. I also can operate the flaps at the same time. My yokes look much better than the ones in other pictures. Please look in my pictures. Ron
  8. Orange County Airport, now know as KSNA John Wayne. 1972 17 years old. $10.00 an hour wet for a new 150 Aerobat. Of course I made a $1.60 at McDonalds. Ron
  9. Call Laser, the had used controls in stock yesterday, or could reskin yours. Paint quotes here in CA very from 11500 to 16000. The inexpensive shop did a friends Cherokee and it was beautiful, they are also going to do the M10 for Mooney. I would fix it, it is a known quantity plane. I am putting mods on my F next month, reseal the tanks and new paint very soon. It does not make financial sense, but it is my plane and money. Ron
  10. I am planning to paint my 69F soon. I am thinking about an original scheme in blue, or a Ovation scheme. What do you think? I have attached an original 69 Mooney ad for reference. Thanks in advance. Ron
  11. Big Brother is watching. I flew to Van Horn TX. last Friday. I had to work around thunderstorms. I am ADS-B in only. I flew within 5 miles of the Mexican border, had to circle for 6 minutes to let a rain shower move off. Border Patrol called the airport to verify that I was there and did they know my N number. They even sent a patrol vehicle out and left without contacting me. As I was descending, I was below radar coverage. Ron
  12. Is your battery getting weak also? Only used the new radios and only 11.7 volts left?? Ron
  13. If you want to go VFR, go above 10,000 and descend to avoid the Class B and C airspace. This is what I will be doing in 2 weeks. Ron
  14. My 69F has electric flaps, and are infinitely adjustable also. The must have changed later that 70. I only have about 1 landing in a short body, so no opinion. Ron
  15. I would suggest not taking the plane to the last shop that maintained it. Plane could use a different set of eyes. Both Dugosh or Maxwell have great reputations. Ron
  16. Vintage Mooney, LED landing light on most of the time and 3 point strobes on all the time, belly strobe red/white all the time, and rotating beacon all the time. I have a lot of lights, now to add a flashing landing light. Ron
  17. A Mooney could fly on the unburned fuel in the exhaust in the Comanche. Ron
  18. Marauder Where did you get the instrument panel cover? Do you think that it would fit my 69F? I have a stock windshield. Do you like this cover? Thank You Ron
  19. When I installed my shoulder harness, it came with a steel bracket, was a pita to install. Special bolts come with the installation. Yours looks like plumbing strapping. I doubt that it is strong enough. Ron
  20. I had a similar problem in Kerrville a couple of years ago. I asked fpr fuel, they kept screwing up the order, I even told them to cancel it, but the plane was full when I pre-flight'd. I paid someone else's bill at there insistence, to little fuel, and then they wanted to bill be me again. I had kept the receipt. We had similar plane numbers. After a letter and a couple of phone calls, they decided to drop the matter. Ron
  21. If you want to go less, I have a FS450 and an EDM 700 in my 69F. See my pictures at N9154V on Mooneyspace. Ron
  22. I have read more of the Little Timmy thread this morning than I have yet. Last 2 pages are on Canadian health care, and guns. What do either of these subjects have to do with people not liking airplanes anymore??? Yes most threads drift, but this is really far out there. Start a new thread on the Canadian Health care system, or guns. What little that I know about the Canadian health care system, won't take 20 words here, lot's of rumor's though. Gun Control is hitting your target the first time. I just finished a 4 day defensive hand gun glass. I was in a simulator and was being timed, shooting went out the window under pressure, see the bad guy, and shoot, sorry hostage. Ron
  23. There is a Porta Port Hanger for Sale here as you describe. Price assembled ready to use is $7,500.00. Ron KMPI Mariposa CA.
  24. I did a top overhaul on my IO360 about a hundred hours ago. I purchased from Lycon used cylinders that were first run. they polished the intakes and exhausts for me. They run great, I can feel a little power increase, but my weights and temps change a lot every time I fly, so it is hard to tell. they also coated the outside of the cylinders with a coating to aid in cooling. With a new oil cooler, better baffles, cowl closer, oil cooler relocation, all temps are cooler. Ron
