  4. Will there be chocolates and candy hearts? Go Mikey! Looking forward to catching the broadcast one way or another... Best regards, -a-
  5. When you recognize the manufacturer of the switch... (Honeywell) you know it is the parent company for Bendix King... It wouldn’t be all that difficult to make an industrial switch to last for decades in a harsh environment... They probably make one already... if it were BK... they would sub it out to somebody else... Thanks for the update MiniV! Best regards, -a-
  6. Even if joe goebells said something really intelligent in his time... would it be thoughtful to repeat it here, today? let’s stay focused on the issues related to flight, flight safety, and how to get along with the rest of the community... The next election isn’t for another year and a half... let it rest... Find another Avenue... Stay positive... Share your solution to common challenges... I hear you. I feel for you. I wish you well. Best regards, -a-
  7. I think I read far enough... maybe I didn’t... But... I can only say a cautionary note... that may be unrelated... There are proper ways to get a safety device overhauled... and who can do the work... If you followed those guidelines congrats... If you followed your own guidelines... you may want to consider what you post publicly... Of course, if you are an avionics tech or an A&P... now would be a good time to mention that kind of detail... +1 on the ridiculous price of the stall vane and switch... wait until you have a heated one... Nice pics... For reference... I receive more advice about things I write... nobody is perfect... Friends trying to help each other out... Best regards, -a-
  8. Chump, Is it this section here only, or is there more? There are a few people around here that have had the honor of identifying, measuring and replacing... corrosion damaged spar bits and pieces... There is a recent for sale thread with a Mooney wing around here... finding the right person to identify how big of a problem this is will be important... measuring the depth of the pit shouldn’t be too hard for a person who is familiar... Calling DMax will take away most of the mystery... Start with a solid plan... an hour or two with DMax may be worth the money... See if @M20Doc is available for a consult... See if @Old Chub is in the neighborhood... See if those parts can be swapped out with the wing in place... I re-oriented the pic using standard orientation... did I get it right? note: use caution with powered cleaning tools, to avoid damaging the fastener heads.... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... Good luck with your next steps... Best regards, -a-
  9. Welcome aboard Dewayne! Best regards, -a-
  10. Welcome aboard Erichh... Best regards, -a-
  11. Typically sensitive CO monitors become less sensitive with age... One CO monitor manufacturer installed a non-chargeable or replaceable battery... making it a throw away device.... Great question for the CO sensor people... Best regards, -a-
  12. Seeing if Greg is familiar... @Baker Avionics... Best regards, -a-
  13. Partial memory... Seems like unfinished business... Another example of a heavy composite plane... that never got to the Bravo model... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_A500 -a-

  15. Inviting @jetdriven to the conversation... I know we have discussed timing a lot... not sure where he is on electronic mags... Best regards, -a-
  16. My ‘94 doesn’t know what the other side is doing... They are activated by the same button push, but have no idea if the other side deployed or not... Having one deploy, would be better than none... if you are trying to lose altitude... and one fails... I only have a single light for the status... I have not tried deploying a single speed brake anywhere near Vne... just sayin’.... Nice pics Will! PP thoughts only, not a mechanic or CFI... Best regards, -a-
  17. My 94 O Is held in place with the two screws... And has a big hole in the end to grasp the cover with... Just adding a point of data... Best regards and Hey Chuck! -a-
  18. Great leak finding and fixing details UKRS! Thanks for sharing them... Best regards, -a-
  19. Great follow-up Ike! Best regards, -a-
  20. Tom, Sound like the hot air valve isn’t closing fully... or your Tucson cold air is the same temp as the NJ hot air.... One of the air valves (some Mooneys) doesn’t close completely, for a reason... But, I don’t think it is the hot air... that would make it tough on really hot days, knowing more heat was coming in the cabin... Look into the air valves in the cabin air system... some have a butterfly valve with rubber seals... might be time for an upgrade... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a-
  21. Nice pirep for Paragon at KCDW, Matt! Which monitor did you get? Thanks for sharing the details... Best regards, -a-
  22. There is a first Time for everything.... But, few people are going to lead with... “it’s my first rodeo, join me...” If it’s not your first rodeo... know when to use precision... and know when it isn’t helpful... PP thoughts only, not very clear on what is being asked in this thread... Best regards, -a-
  23. Welcome aboard Jml... Trouble shooting all the variations of wiring for headsets.... keeps a lot of avionics shops busy... How well was the side-tone working? Are the headphones new to you as well? PP thoughts only, getting everything set up properly is a blessing... Best regards, -a-
  24. Once you have seen the boomerang.... You are going to want a tri-motor.... -a-
  25. Live by the sword... Die by the sword... If wearing a mask prevented GU landings.... You would be feeling the heat at the mere mention of the freedom to not wear a mask... PP thoughts only, I did have the opportunity to study particle size, HEPA filtration, and wearing masks, and hats, and tyvek bunny suits... and doubling up in sensitive areas... Having a portable particle sensor is a powerful tool... I also ate breakfast next to a person that had caught the virus the day before... glad they weren’t across the table from me... Best regards, -a-
