  1. I have 1966 M20C. Just picked it up last week. I did the same and put it back to the original paint scheme I don't know why it attaches upside down. Cannot figure out how to right it. Apologies 1966 Design.pdf
  2. I'm trying to get in contact with the Mid Atlantic Group. I've sign up for membership. None of the links or emails for this group are working for me. Would someone pass the squadron leader's info ? Thanks Paul M20C/N160D
  3. Great conversation with all. Thanks for the input. Turns out the issue was the nylon seats where bad. Replaced All good
  4. Maybe I didn't explain the issue correctly . Once I've selected the flap lever to pump the flaps down, pump the flaps to the desired location (T/O or Full) the flaps will retract slowly while the lever is still in the down position. I have not selected the lever to the flap up position.
  5. We have adjusted the retract set screw with no change. Will check it again Thanks
  6. Yes, resealed the entire tank both sides.
  7. I'm at a lose. History: Flap pump failed due to link. Rebuilt and worked great until the flap actuator failed. Rebuild actuator, no leaks. Flaps worked for about a week. Flaps started to retract slowly when put in any position, T/O to Full. rebuilt pump again. same results. Had my AI rebuild a third time and make sure all adjustments were correct. Flushed hydraulic fluid. Still the same results. Anyone have the same issues? What am I missing? Thinking about converting to electric. M20C Paul
  8. I’m prefer the EDM900. Upgraded my old 900 to the brighter screen. Easy data downloads Here’s my setup
  9. Polygone is what I used. Resealed both tanks One in April 21 and the other in August 21. Here are my before and after Lots of elbow grease and time But, no leaks or drips
  10. I’ve been looking for the original paint scheme for my 1966 C. I have the colors and an old advertisement (black & white). Where would I go to find my factory paint job? Painting is scheduled for July 2022, I have a little time. I’ve resealed both tanks, completed the avionics upgrade and just finished the new interior. Thanks Paul
  11. Been off with my day job for 3 plus weeks. Back to the Mooney tank job. Starting the finishing touches before sealing.
  12. Down to extracting the original sealant. Light tan in the photos. Every nook and cranny. Due to work and weather will have to take week away from the project. But it's going better than I expected. The goodness is my IA has done this on a few Mooneys. Knowledge is key to this success . Just like building a home, the foundation has to be correct and true.2E7EC4AF-8EF4-45CD-AAE0-D461C413A7BB.heic 7CA54AD4-9FC1-4036-BB42-1BFD365EF34C.heic 988B7D88-D059-4031-802B-E771484CE521.heic 3AAB2C6B-5ADF-449A-AF4A-6CA6578075E2.heic
  13. Well, I've decided to take on the task to strip and reseal the fuel cells myself. The wait list is too long at Weep No More(14months) and my tanks are linking at a rate that is not airworthy. Attached are a few pictures. Man, there must have been 4 to 5 patch jobs. Take a look. So far I've been at it for 2 weeks off and on. I do have a day job. Will keep all posted on progress.
