  1. I am of the same mind. Maybe the owner who added the M20 hated Continental? One thing is sure, someone loved his J. Just showing the OP some advertised options. Df
  2. That J would be a forever plane for most anybody, execpt the ones who's needs grow to six seats or wants more kts. If you plan on a multi year relationship, if 922lbs UL fits your mission, if you've got the cash and inclination, you most likely would not regret the price tag. That being said, the one major hickey for this plane is the lack of support of the STC M20 Turbo, however, most major repair shops "should" not have any issues with it. My .02 spending other people's money. DF
  3. Check out this J with all of everything on it. Jimmy and David have it at All Amiercan The UL is 922lbs. https://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/18102253/1992-mooney-m20j-mse?dlr=1&pcid=17527&if=1 way more on it, way less hours.
  4. Well, I was guilty of this just last week. I had a freezer that would not defrost. Probably the thermostat inside the box I say to myself. Amazon the part, get it in the mail, slap it on. No love. Oh, it must be the defrost timer is bad. Same drill, same result. It has to be the connections then, it can't be the inline heating element, they never go bad. Trouble shot all the connections, messed around for a few weeks with this damn box. It can't be the element, mthay last forever........... Okay, let's ohm out the element just so I can get back looking for the real problem........ Hmmmm. No continuity. I'm holding my leads wrong, or its on the wrong setting.......Still no continuity........Dumb,sh;t. You just became a parts replacer.....
  5. Okay. I will say 46? 60x12=720 inches 16 into 720 is 45. One plant on each end equals 46? i will go read the the whole thread now just to see how bad I failed.
  6. Be Fore Egypt?
  7. Now that, was funny.
  8. Ain't that the truth.
  9. Mannn. Whatever happened to the nickel tour?
  10. Forgot @Rhino Actually, all Models will fit his mission, but he has a car seat kid so I leaned toward the F-J. Thanks Fireblade, I mean R1, err Ninja,.........
  11. Ohh. Solid burn.
  12. What's love got to do with it?
  13. Oh snap. Take away my Mooney merit badge immediately. Hehe he. Embarrassing.
  14. Went to my testosterone doctor yesterday. Figured out he was a pilot. He doesn't own now, but his family has in the past had a Tri Pacer and a Senneca. Anyway. He casually mentioned he might like a 182 for his mission, and may be looking. I asked him his mission and specifics. I then proceed to broaden his knowledge envelope. The J and F are spot on for his mission. I want to get him his first Mooney ride. I know Lance and Rainman are right down the road from me and GSXR is Mooney close, but they are all turbos drivers. Who is close to Kerrville with a short body? Thanks in advance. DF
  15. I have nothing to but my interest. Good stuff guys.
  16. Says the winning bid was 55plus.
  17. Missed this one. thank you all who have served.
  18. Now that, was cool.
  19. I was looking at that. Good catch.
  20. And what do you have against dogs?
  21. I'm of the mind that an induction leak would result in a lean mixture. I am going with a clog somewhere in the line.
  22. I am trying to come up with something witty. I've got nuthin. Please link me and add me. thank you.
  23. Welcome to the forum. Good luck on the purchase. Remember the G has the 180hp motor, not the 200. Understand you want to use it just to build hours which is great, just the utility of a G is less than a C or E. Unless the owner is willing to do a lot for you, you may be hard pressed to get all the information you need in order to make an informed decision. Again, welcome to the forum.
