  2. Also low altitudes with high manifold pressure to wear in the rings and cylinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Make sure headset and miscellaneous cords are up over controls so you don’t get tangled up in these while exiting and entering. Door all the way open facing forwards your left foot steps all the way into left side of cockpit then lower oneself down and slide in pulling your other leg into position. I do it so often and I’m six foot tall. I have to make a you tube of the various ways to get in and out of this machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Do yoga regularly and don’t carry any excess weight on you body a BMI of I compare my Mooney to a British sports car. Not very roomy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Either the brake cylinder or caliper. Have you checked the hydraulic reservoir level ? I would suspect since your hearing the sounds in pedal actuations that you brake cylinder need attention. Could be air in it if somehow the level became low but not likely since reservoir is plenty big for system. Check level first though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Wouldn’t sweat that unless you caused a problem with traffic. ADS-B is not widely referenced by ATC yet. All depends on which airport and their disposition. Never hurts to talk to them. B airspace is the one you need to stay clear or be cleared. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. About 100 in my Mooney M20C and 500 in Citation X Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Waypoint Cafe CMA when the smoke clears from fires and air is breathable again come and enjoy best fly-in restaurant I’ve ever been to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The Citation X I fly now has a pressurized baggage compartment. I’d flow CJs for 23 years and no problems with water in nose and sodas. I always kept crew bags in nose and pax bags in tail baggage compartment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I fly these for a living and as long as cap is on no problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The Robinson had tanks behind passengers at shoulder level. In the event of very hard crash fuel would be all over occupants. Not sure it’s of much crash safety in a Mooney perhaps it might be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wow nice job from this point of view Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. My 1970 but FAA has it as 69 SN70-0033 not sure why. Wish the original paint and pics were posted on this bird. Just pulled vacuum pump and all related suction items and installed Garmin G5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Very different wing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Check current draw and if abnormal replace switch. LED bulb used much less current so an old Klixon switch can normally power an LED and not pop open. As posted by pervious posts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. In how many years some have had corrosion issues and need replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Steering horn gets worn. Lasar has rebuild and conversion from early to late. Save your $$$$ not cheap but it fixed my shimmy to zero. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Overhaul don’t mess around with your mags unless your a reputable shop. That’s the heart of your machine. You’ll be glad when it’s up and running smoothly. Money well spent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Any good mechanic should be able to help you and you deductions sound spot on. Start with cleaning injectors. I’m in Camarillo CA so no local recommendations for Manchester NH. Best of luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Let’s wait for NTSB report. Very sad event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Sorry CDT not sure what your talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. There is only one impulse coupling on left mag. The fact that the right position will allow you to go to start seems odd and I don’t think it should. Sounds like switch is worn. If that switch allowed you to crank it over in left only it would start. Don’t try it in right only because if you do get a spark from the mag at cranking RPM it will fire at about 20 degrees before top dead center. It will then kickback and might get an induction fire. Only crank in both. All sounds okay as long as you don’t try to start in right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Attorneys are in the cockpit anymore it’s a pain in the ass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Higher RPM = more power Think you have 400 more power cycles per min happening at 2700 versus 2500 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
