  1. Show me a NTSB report that blames an accident on a missing calibration card for the whisky compass.
  2. I purposely put it there because there’s no steel cage parts nearby, I’ve just got it back, did a first try of adjusting the compass, but need to do it again before making a calibration card.
  3. So do I, that’s why I moved the compass out of the way.
  4. And only 4 pictures, given it recently had damage from a gear up, I would think the seller would want to show pictures of the underside, not to mention none of the instrument panel?
  5. I get this item is not available or been sold using this link.
  6. You may not get the useful load you’d expect, the later Js are heavier then their earlier siblings. My 78 has 1012lbs useful load for example.
  7. Only if you’re willing to fly at high altitudes. Depending on what “long range” means, I think looking for long range tanks might be better option.
  8. Maybe you are slow to exit the runway, do you just let it roll out to the end to save the brakes?
  9. It would be nice if there was an option to annunciate when the auto trim was operating.
  10. Can you open it from the inside if locked?
  11. Did he have a radar altimeter, and maybe just using to fly minimum altitude?
  12. My G3X requires 2 CBs to be pulled, in addition to the PFD breaker a GAD27 breaker need to be pulled (14V installation).
  13. How does pressing on the panel stop the leak if that’s the problem?
  14. Don’t know about all models, but this is the picture of the bracket with pitch servo and you can clearly see the other hole for another servo
  15. But they can always add it later, fairly easily: install the servo on existing bracket, tap into the nearby Can bus, and reconfigure.
  16. Well, based on responses; 1. Those who have a YD says it’s a must have. 2. Those who don’t say it’s not necessary. Makes sense. YD option costs about $4,000. So OP has to decide if it’s worth it.
  17. I didn’t get it, J is very stable and I don’t fly in turbulence as a rule. Now if you had a V tail Bo, then definitely.
  18. FYI, you can take a screenshot by pressing home and power simultaneously on the iPad, you don’t need a camera to do that. [emoji23]
  19. You can adjust it, it’s just a couple of screws.
  20. Fiji Dollars?
  21. Probably should say where you are to limit responses.
  22. Gaithersburg MD, Mooney N201RP or maybe RF landed in high power lines, reports say they are OK. Foxnews reported.
  23. Can’t you just pull the headrests out? If it’s only the 2 of you, I would remove the back seat and save a few pounds in the process.
