Trading out a prop

Just curious, If I buy a M20E with a three blade prop on it, how much credit, or how much do you think it would cost me to go to a two blade prop? Lots of the planes I'm looking at have the three blade on, but for me and the flying I do, a two blade makes more sense. If it's a ton of money, I'll keep the three blade and live with it, but if it's just a bit to swap...

Depends if you buy new or used, and if the shop will take one on trade or if you have to sell it yourself.  I'm contemplating upgrading props later this year and will most likely sell my 2-blade McCauley myself via Barnstormers or ebay.  If you were to buy that as-removed and sell a 3-blade, you might come out even.  If you bought a new Hartzell 2-blade Top Prop (~$7000?) you might end up spending $4-5000 additional.

I paid $13,000 canadian for a hartzell 2 blade scimitar just a few months ago.

Thats including installation etc,. The actual unit was about 12K including shipping, exchange etc.
