preinke Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I have owned this plane for 8 years and have purchased a Cessna 180 that fits my current mission. Mooney_N201PL_For_Sale.doc
N33GG Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 WOW! Nice airplane and looks like a great deal. Just curious, what 180 did you get, Cherokee or Cessna? You should have no problem selling that 201. 2
preinke Posted June 20, 2013 Author Report Posted June 20, 2013 It's a '65 Cessna 180. I would like to keep the Mooney , maybe can find a partner . A go plane and a go anywhere plane. I may have to update the radios to move it. It would make more sense for next owner to pick his preference but the market speaks
BigTex Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Thank gawd... If the choice was to go from a M20 to a PA28, we'd have to send out the Mooney tan flight suits to have a "chat" with you.
Z W Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 Nice looking plane, and I think you've got it priced right. I'm not shopping, so that doesn't help you much, but for what it's worth... Some more pics in your ad might help it move, more so than new radios. Good luck with the sale.
preinke Posted June 20, 2013 Author Report Posted June 20, 2013 I will try to get some better pictures . I had a WWII Hellcat pilot look at it yesterday . This would be his third Mooney - what an ambassador ! He was in his early nineties , I can only hope I will be in his shape at that age
bjwright Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 could you please post pics of control panel? Thanks!
rbridges Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Halloween Sale Price 59900 ! Includes cover , spare avionics, tow bar, and service manual ! wow. a J model under $60K? Even with a basic panel, that is a great price.
Alan Fox Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 wow. a J model under $60K? Even with a basic panel, that is a great price. That panel is not as basic as it looks , King HSI and KFC200 A.P. good stuff....
KSMooniac Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Looks like a solid plane for the money...
Marauder Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Top cowl repaired and painted with all new fasteners that spread the load. Spinner also painted $59900 Why do I get depressed when I see these prices like these? Really nice plane that should sell for a lot more! That's why!! TWinter Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 There is a guy at my field getting ready to finish is PP. He seems to be a quick study and breezed through his PP so far. He is looking for something he can fly for pleasure and some business. He had mentioned BOs, but I think that's just because there was someone on the field flying with him some in a BO, He always comments on my Mooney as he walks to the hanger to get the training Cherokee out of the stall. He has been flying what seems like daily. Just passed the written. I'll pass the word. Good luck. This is a nice Mooney and very fair money.
preinke Posted January 17, 2014 Author Report Posted January 17, 2014 I think it is priced fairly but the offers are considerbly less. With the stock market up I thought the airplane values would rebound a little. You couldnt build an experimental as robust and efficient for 60K without fabricating everything. I am thinking of keeping it another year to see if the medical issue gets resolved Paul
preinke Posted March 25, 2014 Author Report Posted March 25, 2014 It just about sold this January . It went through a prebuy which became an annual. It had about $500 in squawks and we replaced the battery with a sealed Concorde. It went to the avionics shop to be IFR certified and the altimeter failed. The buyer got cold feet after shop quoted fixing . I took it to Spencer Avionics and Quint replaced altimeter and wired it to existing TransCal encoder. He also replaced HSI head to fix calibration issue. I can't say enough good things about his shop. We are also addressing the tach and autopilot - both could work better. When this work is finished I will update asking price. I took my two children with me to Corpus Christi last week in the Mooney and was reminded again what a traveling machine it is. I am still trying to find a partner to share the Mooney and the Cessna 180 Paul
benpilot Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 I'm interested was looking at 231 but this is great deal. How far are you from Northern California ?
preinke Posted March 26, 2014 Author Report Posted March 26, 2014 KIKV to KPAO shows 1340 NM I flew there from Iowa in my younger days in a Grumman Cheetah. Flew up the coastline - most beautiful scenery ever - probably illegal now
tpapilot Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Hi i am interested in your 201 if you still have it
