I am not having much luck finding rudder pedal extensions. Has anyone had the extensions machined/manufactured locally? What would be a reasonable cost to do so?

The actual cost of the manufacturing of ours was ~$300, that was cost, not profit.  So if you look into a place to do it locally with fab shop capabilities, suggest it will be more if they are going to make a reasonable profit.  Also suggest you might choose not to tell them they are airplane parts when you provide the diagram, I think many places insurance directly prohibits airplane parts.

I recently purchased 2 factory numbered sets, I have already installed the left side set and do not want to sell the one set I have left and as I plan to add brakes to right side.  I have a machine shop in my plant and I estimate it would take 4 to 5 hours to build a set on a 1 up basis including powder coating so 300 would be cheap.  Also I called http://www.swta.net/mooneyproductinfo/mooneymodspricelist.html  they had a set coming in but wanted $700 for them!

I do have the drawings for the extensions that someone here at Mooneyspace provided me.

Not a hard part at all.
