Our next event will be this Saturday, June 8, at the Skyview Cafe at the Punta Gorda airport (KPGD). Future events all are on the second Saturday of the month and all events start at 11:30. Please check back for changes before attending, as restaurants sometimes close with little advance notice. June 8, Punta Gorda, (PGD) Skyview Cafe July, 13, Williston (X60) Pyper Kub Cafe August 10, St. Augustine (SGJ) Fly By Cafe September 14, Lakeland (LAL) Air Harts Cafe October 12, Flagler (XFL) High Jackers November 9, Winter Haven (GIF) Pappy's Grill December 14, Punta Gorda (PGD) Skyview Cafe E-mail Dave at daveanruth@aol.com by Thursday night to let him know if you plan to make it, so he can call the restaurant on Friday with an approximate head count. Of course one is obligated even if they said they were hoping to attend. If anyone has a Garmin 430, non WAAS, and would like an extra data card,Dave has a couple to give away, please let him know and he'll bring them to Punta Gorda. I tried to talk Parker into flying out there with me, through the crappy Florida WX, but he whimped out and is driving to Dallas right now. You'll see him tomorrow. KSMooniac Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 Yeah, even as a native (and quite proud) Texan, I never picked up an affinity for catfish, or much of the generic fried-into-oblivion-food. I used to enjoy chicken fried steaks in college, but gladly left that behind when I left. (especially since there are no good ones north of the Red River!) I'll find some tex-mex or BBQ and all will be right with the world tomorrow. Quote
