larryb Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 A couple of the screws that hold the spinner on are wearing through the spinner. There are no cracks or anything like that. I talked to my shop today about it, and the feeling is that I should be looking for a replacement. It's not critical today, but eventually will be. They are going to look into the cost and leadtime of a new unit. I thought I'd ask here if anybody has one for sale. Thanks, Larry
HRM Posted May 7, 2013 Report Posted May 7, 2013 On my E there is a nylon washer under each screw. Are you sure you aren't missing those?
larryb Posted May 7, 2013 Author Report Posted May 7, 2013 The washers are there, although some of those are worn thin too, and will be replaced shortly. I did check a few other airplanes nearby and found a similar condition on several.

johnmaher Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 I have one in my hangar in Fla. it is polished and in good condition. Smallish problem is that I will not be in the US until the middle of June, if you can wait.
larryb Posted May 13, 2013 Author Report Posted May 13, 2013 johnmaher: Yes, I am interested. PM sent. Larry
KSMooniac Posted May 13, 2013 Report Posted May 13, 2013 Larry, if your original/damaged spinner ends up being surplus to you and not usable, I'd be interested in purchasing it for a modest sum for mock-up purposes down the road.
LT4BIRD Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 I have one painted if the first doesn't work out.
andrem Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Hi guys, I also need one, but slightly more urgently. Any available now?
