I recently got a deal on a lot of leather hides, and certainly don't need all of them.  They came from a bizjet interior shop surplus, and are leftovers, including some from a canceled project, not seconds or blemished hides.  The hides were manufactured by Townsend Leather, which is one of the very best suppliers in the bizjet industry.  (One of my good friends works with BBJ completions and their material is used extensively for those $20mil jobs!)  Details here:  http://www.townsendleather.com/aviation-interiors

I have some grey, some neutral (sorta beige/light tan) and some olive green.  Only 4 hides of grey, but I have much more quantity of the neutral and green.  It should take 3 hides to comfortable cover 4 Mooney seats along with headrests, armrests, misc.  I plan to add some pictures of the hides later tonight.

Price is $250 per hide.  My contact at the interior shop said they are close to $1000 per hide at their level, which jives with my friend's estimate of $15-17 per sq ft when he does BBJ seats.  The hides are different sizes, but generally 50-60 sq ft per hide.

PM if you're interested!

Olive Green ...............hum,  that hide must of been hanging around since the 70's .  I was thinking about a retro theme for my next interior. It will match my kitchen.

I know it sounds bad and I'm guessing it won't be very popular, but it looks really, really nice actually.  It is not 70's avocado green.   :)   If I don't sell all of it, I plan to use some for furniture in my house because it is a really great shade, believe it or not.  With the right paint scheme and maybe a two-tone leather scheme (such as with the neutral tan) it might end up looking great.

Norbert, there are pics in the thread, but it is hard to tell color and texture of course. If you PM your address to me I'll send you a sample. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 4

Bump...surely someone wants to refresh their interiors with some of the best leather available!  I can send a small sample so you can touch and smell it first.  :)

I ended up getting an Olive Green hide for a project I have.  I was really happy with the quality.  And the color would be just fine if you are doing two tone interior/seat.

Count me interested in the neutral/beige. That's the color I've been mulling about using when I have the interior redone in the next year or so. Do you have any of those left?
