Yves, sounds like you just have to cut a slot in the end of what you have if it is wide and thick enough. Does the wood dry fast enough to be ready for the 2nd tank?

And I forgot to answer your question: Yes it dries OK when doing the work around. Always dry when I dip the second thank.

Yeah, you need a stick that's thinker than a paint stir. My bee frame end bar is 3/8" thick. I'd be careful with a wood stick in the fuel tank -- be sure the wood is not frayed, I could visualize a splinter jamming the quick drain open. Murphy rules the world.

 

BTW, when I owned an E model back it the 70s/80s I did not need a tool to change fuel tanks... wonder what has changed?  :)

Hey Bob, saw my other thread about the drain issue? You visualized the event right but not the cause... and this within a week's time. can you tell me what will be the Canadian Lotto 6/49 numbers this coming Wednesday? I'll definitely give you a share of the price if we win.
