durrance Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Am new owner of M20F and my landing light has burned out. I checked the light and it is a GE bulb (and not one of those new STC LED lights). I researched several old manuals and parts listings and find the correct GE bulb number but no dice. I found a Mooney number for the lamp but no cross reference to the vendor part number. I expect this situation to come up time and again..... what is the best way to identify part numbers for my 1968 M20F? I'm not simply referring to Mooney parts but rather off the shelf vendor items that are OEM equipment (or even PMA). Thanks for helping "the new guy" get some answers. BD Quote
carusoam Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 BD, I often check with aircraft spruce and specialty for these "off-the-shelf" items. Their online catalog is excellent if you know what part numbers you are looking for. Their phone support is also great when you are not sure what part number you are looking for. You will also find many screws and fasteners that you may want to replace from years of use and re-use. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/ - Anthony - Quote
sellis Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 The bulb p/n is a GE4522 and can be ordered from any Mooney Service Center. Stacey Quote
durrance Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 Stacey and Anthony - thanks to you both! Ben Quote

danb35 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I have Stan's H3 bulb, and I'm pleased with it. I'd like to install HIDs, but that's some $$$ that I could use for avgas instead... Quote
