Indianarob Posted October 9, 2012 Report Posted October 9, 2012 I have a WX10A for sale from my Mooney, working when removed and very clean, upgraded to GTN 750 with WX500. Display head, processor and antenna for sale. Would like to get $1000. Let me know if anyone is interested. Quote
Indianarob Posted October 10, 2012 Author Report Posted October 10, 2012 Somebody make and offer, I really don't need it anymore, but it is a good clean unit. Quote
KSMooniac Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 I'm curious to hear how you like the WX-500 and GTN display... I'm contemplating a panel makeover and am debating the merits of adding a standalone 'scope vs. the WX-500 version to be displayed on a GPS or EFIS... Quote
Indianarob Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 KSMooniac, I like the WX500 for the simple reason it put everything on one display and show route, nexrad and stormscope and at the same time and and place. gives you a good picture. however let me warn you up front to do this you will need a bootstraped KI 525 to heading stablize the stormscope. Also the the WX 500 extends out to 300 miles in front view and also give you a filter of cell and strike. Also there is a dedicated page under weather that displays the stormscope data. Anyway hope this help. Quote
KSMooniac Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Thanks for the PIREP! I'm contemplating my next panel upgrade currently, but plan to stick with my 530W/430W combo for now. Good luck selling your old 'scope. Quote
Indianarob Posted October 17, 2012 Author Report Posted October 17, 2012 KSMooniac is absolutely correct in every manner, it is nice to get all the information on one display to see the big picture. I am very happy with my installation, Muncie Aviation did it for me, hightly recommended. Where are you located, I am in Indiana if you wanted to take a look at it. let me know. Quote
