rbridges Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 that put me in a pretty good mood. It wasn't as bad as I thought. If the questions aren't duplicates, they are very familiar. Definitely were some new ones, but a lot were repeats. Looking over the Gleim books helped tremendously. I was worried about passing but ended up with a 95. It's very nice to get that monkey off my back.
omega708 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Congrats! That's my next step... I've watched my ground school DVDs and am registered to attend a classroom ground school in mid-August. I'll probably schedule my written for shortly thereafter.
danb35 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Congratulations! It's got some tough stuff on there, but definitely do-able. Now get out there and get that rating!
John Pleisse Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 90+ keeps the examiner from looking at you cockeyed. Awesome work, Buddy. Way to go.
jnisley Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Congratulations! I remember how relieved I was to be able to change my focus to flying.
mooneygirl Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Rob, that is the BEST news way to go! The exam is on my list for fall. Hip Hip Horray

rainman Posted August 8, 2012 Report Posted August 8, 2012 Congratulations Rob, the written was more stressful than difficult. Many of the DVD and written materials really do a good job preparing you for the knowledge test. My advice is to keep working on the flying and take the practical when ready. I passed the written in Dec and the practical in late July, and felt the knowledge used on the written was useful on the oral portion of the exam as well as the actual flying. Good luck and keep moving forward. Ray
