merlin Posted November 14, 2023 Report Posted November 14, 2023 Anyone have a good idea how much fuel is in the tank when it's touching the tabs on a 69F? Draining the tank not practical where I am.... thanks! Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted November 14, 2023 Report Posted November 14, 2023 I think it is stamped on the tab, but it is 25 gallons. 1 Quote

You have to look real close, squint and have the right light, but it’s stamped on the tabs. 25gal each side, 50 total. Edited November 14, 2023 by Ragsf15e Quote
M20F Posted November 14, 2023 Report Posted November 14, 2023 They are as others have said really hard to see. I find using this stick lighter makes it easier to see them. 4 Quote
Igor_U Posted November 16, 2023 Report Posted November 16, 2023 Real question is: Is it 25 Gallons when fuel touches the bottom of the tab or is level with the hole through the tab? Quote

The tab. You can play around with it and gauge how much fuel there is with the various landmarks, like the bottom of the hole, etc., so you can fill to the desired amount just by looking at the tab assembly. 2 Quote

This is my experience after fueling to the tab and checking the used fuel by engine monitor, however I saw some people saying it's the hole. 1 Quote

Mine works out to the bottom of the tab as well. The reason for the hole is that it saves 0.02 ounces of weight and allows for 0.069 more ml of fuel in the tank. Just kidding of course. Nobody knows why the hole is there. Quote

merlin Posted November 18, 2023 Author Report Posted November 18, 2023 As a bonus... I have the JPI 730. I figured out to add aux tanks into the JPI (even though I don't have aux tanks) and set my mains to 50gal. Now when I fill to tabs (and thanks to yall) I can click mains full, aux 0. When I fill to the brim, I click mains full/ aux (14gal) full. SOOOO much better than manually adjusting down 14 gals every time. Cheers all! 1 Quote
Pinecone Posted November 20, 2023 Report Posted November 20, 2023 That "trick" is outlined in the 830 manual. Quote
