I decided to invest in a die to cut the high temp closed cell silicone foam to replace the felt.

The baffle seal is cut to spec and I include 2024 x 025 metal strips to sandwich the seal.

Using this only requires a pop rivet every two inches .

two part silicone cement is included for the silicone ams3195 Foam.

Cheers

I don't have that style baffle, but it's nice to see you producing parts for these old birds.

Thanx

not my design, just due cut from sample of original seals

Here is a die

rear baffle seals M20f

I got a set couple of years ago for my M20F and were very good, however I have a suggestion for improvement.

How hard is to modify your dies and make the aft baffle seals somewhat longer? If you look at my unfinished engine install,  you'll see that AFT RHS seal is somewhat short and I had to run the the RH Side Seal around the corner at the aft baffle. This creates a hard point in the corner and wrinkles the seals when top cowl is installed.

if you ever correct it,  i'd be interested to buy it but it's not a bif deal as my new engine runs very cool. LHS seal seems about right but i wouldn't mind being a little longer as I can always trim it.

If you or others have an suggestion, please shoot.

Thank you

M20f is per a service shop original seal

Dies can be modified per each seal

its low volume model for me .

Your welcome to buy a sheet and make your own .

I suggest finish ducts if you’re looking for perfection, not finished ends and non lined clamps is just cheap way and will collapse as there is nothing holding the wire after cutting.
