jwarren2 Posted May 12, 2023 Report Posted May 12, 2023 Looking for a Brittian DG adapter for the Brittian OC, does anyone have one that might be for sale? Thanks. Picture is for reference. Quote
Browncbr1 Posted May 17, 2023 Report Posted May 17, 2023 I have an HSI adapter. I don’t know if it will work with a simple DG or not, as I have not tried to compare pinouts. However; They do use the same plugs and I recall the dg adapter plug only using a couple of the pins. I am pretty sure the extra pins allow for two additional +/-v wires for accutrak interface. Quote
jwarren2 Posted May 18, 2023 Author Report Posted May 18, 2023 What is the make and model and I'll do some homework to see if that will work. I'm not having much luck finding one so far. I thought I had one but gentlemen only takes cash app and then the conversation went cold, so I don't know what happen there. But maybe yours will work. Thanks. Quote

Thanks. Here are photos. One side goes to the DG adapter box, the other goes to the HSI. I THOUGHT this box transfers the same left/right signals, but does not have a gain adjustment like the DG box has. However, it DOES also have a gain adjustment for the DG on the back of the case.. I’m pretty sure that this just blends the left/right signals from the DG and CDI, so you may be able to use just the bug signals alone and the output is gain adjustable just like the DG adapter. Hence, 2 additional pins on the hsi side but iirc, the dog box has an input plug from the TC for ship feedback Edited May 23, 2023 by Browncbr1 Quote

0TreeLemur Posted October 10, 2023 Report Posted October 10, 2023 I have a box of spare Brittain parts left over from when we owned a C model. I think I might have one of those. I'll PM if I do. 1 Quote

Those things are rare as hen's teeth. Work is keeping me super busy this week and I have a trip over the weekend. Probably won't get to dig through the box until next week. 1 Quote
DCarlton Posted October 12, 2023 Report Posted October 12, 2023 This is a long shot, but you could try calling Porter Strait Instruments in Tulsa. I believe they will still overhaul the Brittain Turn Coordinators. Maybe, just maybe, they have some parts lying around. They were in the same local area as Brittain Industries. You could try to call or email the Brittain contact too. I forget the ladies name, that's still helping folks. She might know how hard they are to find. http://www.brittainautopilots.com/index.html 1 Quote
jwarren2 Posted October 12, 2023 Author Report Posted October 12, 2023 Thank you, I'll give Porter a call and see if he may have something. I've been in contact with Brittian, the ladies name is Cecelia. Very nice person to deal with but she doesn't have one either. 1 Quote
