I found the ones post earlier this month. They are older than the 1998 you are looking for. But I have put the links below.

I can PM you a link to download from my former 1983 M20J which I scanned in.  I think the 1998 had at least these differences:

• 24 Volt system
• more electrically operated items, like cowl flaps
• higher useful load so weight and balance will be different
• most speeds should be the same 

Definitely use at your own risk, as they are similar, but not identical planes.

The year is not always a definitive way to get the right documentation.  For example, here are two different AFM/POH manuals for a 1990 M20J:

1990   24-3144 thru 24-3153   POH-003200(A)

1990   24-3154 thru 24-3200   POH-003201
           24-3202 thru 24-3207   POH-003201

Best to look for the manual number from this list to be sure you have the right one:

Thanks @Fly Boomer! I believe I have located the appropriate POH version. Apparently, @M20Doc has a large collection and was able to provide me with a digital copy.

I live in Brazil and am in the process of negotiating a 1990 M20J and would love to start studying the POH in advance. According to the link sent by @Fly Boomer the correct document for me is the POH-003200(A). 

Does anyone have a digital copy or a link for that specific POH?
