Its hard to get good stuff these days. They don't make 'em like they used to. I was forced to replace the crappy factory tires on my Prius way too early -- they only went 90,000 miles. I guess I could have pushed to 100,000, but I'm a chicken. Quote

Years ago, i convinced my IA to stop removing it during owner assist annuals and (repaired) duct is holding just fine, thank you very much. 1 Quote

When I had my 67F, that lower cowl only came off when it had to. Too much of a PITA to take it off for no reason. If you do take it off take the boot lose from the servo, it is much less traumatic on the boot and easier to get to. Quote

Sadly he doesn’t visit anymore, but he does make some really nice Beechcraft ducts. https://www.csobeech.com/GeeBee-BoIntakeDuct.html Quote

His business really knows this application… All of the Mooneys could benefit from a new modern product… Failure of this old style product is essentially guaranteed… they just don’t last forever… 30 years is close, just not infinite… People will gladly move to a modern design…. Because when they fail… dirt gets sucked in for a long time before a hole gets noticed at annual… Best regards, -a- Quote
