docket Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Just to spice it up around here I thought I would upload a picture of 56FM's new hangar buddy. Quote

carusoam Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 My kind of Ford! Very nice.... Not my post....but I do share the same sentiment Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Oh my! Beautiful. That reminds me of a story in Flying back in the 80s when they decided to do a joint feature with Road and Track (or similar) and take two new $1xx,000 machines and race from somewhere in So Cal to Arizona or Nevada (can't remember). It was a Ferrari vs. a 201, leaving from a residence and arriving at a hotel so that the pilot needed to account for the ground time at each end. The Ferrari had a team where the non-driver worked the binoculars and CB radio so that it could be a max speed run without going to jail. Of course the Mooney driver won! Quote
scottfromiowa Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 FANTASTIC!!! Enjoy! BOSS 302 is causing me to stray from my Cayman S ambitions... Quote
docket Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 I know that I baited the kudos but given how much cash I parted with for this car I needed a pat on the back. This car has 169 miles on the odo and I am ready to add a few more. Here are its other hangar mates. I am glad to put this behind me and get back to flying -- these new GTN radios are awesome ) Quote

docket Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 Depends on your definition of a good deal. This was a collector purchase since the car only has 169 miles. Quote
Cris Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I want your hanger & the stuff that goes with it !!! Quote

blacknchrome Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Congrats. That car will be a blast...and probably a good investment if you can keep it off the streets! haha That's Mooney's got some good looking hangar-mates. Quote

omega708 Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 After seeing that collection of "toys" I'd like to update my New Year's resolutions to include becoming very close friends with "docket." :-) It appears he's in Houston which is roughly a 1 hour flight in my '67 C model... Congrats on a purchase! Quote
docket Posted January 27, 2012 Author Report Posted January 27, 2012 Come on down, like the paint job on your C. My hangar is always open to a Mooney compadre. Quote
