I’ve recently cleaned up my stuff all over my interior. How does everyone organize the stuff they carry especially on the backseat. My luggage area is nice and organized but the seats look like it’s owned by Fred Sanford

what do you keep in the back seat?

I keep a large flat clear Tupperwares type container in the baggage area with airplane stuff I might need on the road - two oil qts in case, a screw driver, window cleaner, clean cloths, screw driver, - stuff like that.

In the back seat I keep 1 headset which is the co-pilot headset that I keep there if solo - a smoke hood - on the floor behind the pilot - just in case - a hand held radio in case - and clipped between the two seats in the back - a small fire extinguisher.  That's most all.  Except I often/usually have a my portable O2 tank also clipped to behind the co-pilot position for almost all the time since I like to have it available all the time - and I rarely carry a third person anyway.  The only time I remove it is when I carry three people, which is so rare ...and then I am worry about weight and also much less likely to go to higher altitudes since then the trip is likely to be short as I won't be able to carry lots of fuel anyway.

And co-pilot bear in the front.

Thats about it.

What do you need in the backseat? I usually just put a bag with food/drinks on the floor behind the seat so it doesn't fly around and easy to grab in flight.

I carry a lot of crap, would like more organization

but what are you carrying, if its crap then maybe skinny it down. otherwise how you organize will depend a lot on what you carry.

I usually carry my wife and dog so the dog shares the back seat with my flight back, floor behind co-pilot is a small fire extinguisher, some snacks and bottle of water/relief bottle

everything plane needed wise for long trips (oil, screw driver, rags, cleaner...) is all in a small container in the baggage area

I feel your pain. I grabbed a couple of amenities bags I had from airlines and stuffed some of the crap in them, loosely organized by category (cannulas in one bag, foggles in another, charging cables, backup stratux + powerbank, cigarrete lighter usb port in another etc.). Now I have a bunch of bags in the backseat. I'm not sure it's more organized, but looks a bit cleaner. But then I have 37 half empty water bottles (I always bring a fresh one when I go flying...), a fleece and a windbreaker, one of those slap-on window shades, a copy of my POH (the original will disintegrate if I handle i too much - it's like an original bible that needs to be kept in an airtight box)

Sounds like mine, plus a couple back pillows. Boost oxygen canister, bags I’ll try it

I keep a seat-back organizer hanging on back of my seat.  My wife is almost always with me and she has access.  In the organizer are spare batteries, portable transceiver, PLB, barf bags and tissues.

I used to have pockets on the back of the seats.   When I redid the backs I did not take the time to make them.   I did put one long pocket at the base of the back seat along with the two pockets at the base of the front seats.   There is a medium flat tupperware plastic box behind me with docs and batteries and such.   Pens and hand held compass in the front seat pocktes.

Have you seen my wife's purse?? :D  She absolutely requires it be sitting on the back seat.  I used to worry about what I put in the back seat in case it flies forwards and hurts me.  I gave up because I realized if my wife's purse hits me I will die instantly anyway.  I think there are a couple blacksmith anvils in there...
