Mad Mikey Posted November 10, 2021 Report Posted November 10, 2021 I am looking for an original VSI gauge for a 1979 M20 J 201. My gauge is currently working, but I have a haze on the inside of the glass. I got estimates to get it cleared up but they were out of this world. I want to keep it vintage and to possibly get the VSI that has the Mooney symbol on it. Any ideas or help on direction in this matter would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks. Quote
201Mooniac Posted November 10, 2021 Report Posted November 10, 2021 I think I have one that was removed from my 1980 M20J. I'll try to get to the hangar tomorrow to check. Quote

Mid Continent told me they could overhaul my VSI and keep the Mooney logo. I never got it done though. Ended up doing it during another panel repair issue and my VSI now has a Cessna logo... :< Quote

Call Keystone Instruments in Lock Haven PA 570-748-7083 Family run business and they routinely clean the hazy glass and re cert/ calibrate VSI and all aircraft instruments. Quote
