Thanks N201MKTurbo

I am in need of a temperature probe for a 1990 MSE 201. It's a 28 volt system. The Mooney part number is 880061-501. This part was manufactured by Lewis Engineering. There is a number on the part 35918  56B3A9.

Welcome aboard / congrats on your first post, Mike...

Have you checked the lead times with your local MSC..?

90s OilT sensors seam to be failing more often... a few have been shown to need replacement lately...

If unable to find one new... find somebody selling off everything and going JPI or EI....

There are a few people going primary and digital...

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic...

Best regards,

When looking for a needle in a haystack...

See if you can adjust your title to tell the story of what you are looking for...

You have everyone’s attention for about five seconds, and one line...

Short and brief...

Need OilT sensor... use the part number from the old sensor... not the book...

Include the Mooney part number with a pic in the body of the post...

Been there, done that, got the oilT sensor I needed...

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic...

Best regards,

We have talked to several service centers thinking someone would have one after a JPI upgrade but no luck.

Suggest calling Mooney direct for an alternate part number.

If you search by this number:

6685-00-089-7311

It shows up at a lot of the aircraft parts warehouses.
