brieaton1877 Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 I am a new owner of a 2005 Mooney Bravo GX, and have recently updated the aviation database yet I continue to get an expired "aviation" note on the MFD start-up screen. I have purchased the annual subscriptions on Garmin and updated my Supplemental data and Navigation SD cards, yet still have this issue. (See photos below - Yellow Line item) Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks! Quote
Oscar Avalle Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 Welcome on board!! You will see that this is an excellent forum to get advice from others on what to do and not to do. However, it is highly addictive! So watch out! I had a similar problem with my GTN750. The solution was to call Garmin and ensure that they had the right serial number for the unit. If that number does not match, then the update does not get through. The problem lies specifically with the Nav data, not with the other databases. Hope it helps Oscar Quote
Danb Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 That’s from your sd card, not the supplemental Garmin card, I had a similar issue, my card went bad after 14 years, also if it’s a new card make sure it’s formatted..fat32, also make sure when you downloaded the nav, I noticed the other downloads were good, you downloaded to the current place when following the directions to download on the mfd and pfd. There is a couple you tube videos out there which could assist you in the download process. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted May 27, 2020 Report Posted May 27, 2020 Dan once said he wasn’t a technical guy... Garmin must have forced him into it... See if this helps any... -a- Quote
