Pixleyad Posted March 21, 2020 Report Posted March 21, 2020 Does anyone know what this cushion is for? Found it in the baggage compartment of newly purchased J model. Not able to figure out where it goes... Quote
Bolter Posted March 21, 2020 Report Posted March 21, 2020 I don't have one like that in my J, but it is matched to your interior. Looks thick. Maybe a custom booster pad for a non-height adjusting passenger seat? -dan 2 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 I have one in my 1987 252. It's the arm rest between the back seats. I'm assuming you have bucket seats in the back. Quote
carusoam Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 Looking at it in a different way... Do your seats have vertical adjustment? 1) Could be an arm rest for the back... 2) Could be a filler between the seats... 3) Could be a height adjustment for a shorter pilot... Definitely looks well coordinated with the interior... Best regards, -a- Quote
Hank Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 Curved like that, looks like a back rest to push a short person forward to reach the pedals. On the other hand, my landings improved significantly during transition training when I put a seat cushion under me. Suddenly I could see over the cowling! So maybe one of those. Quote
gsxrpilot Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 Zipper side down, it should stand vertical between the back seats as an arm rest. Quote
