Niko182 Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 Im looking at redoing the panel in january and trying to figure out if everything is gonna fit. The current plan is from top to bottom Gfc500 2.1 (not going in yet but i need space for the future) Pma450b 1.3 Gnx375 2 Gtn750 6 GTR200 1.35 Total comes out to 12.75. Will this fit in the panel? I also want everything in one colum. I dont want to start scattering stuff all over the panel. If it wouldnt fit, what would you change. The options i see if it doesnt fit are: Use a GMA35C -1.3" Do a gtn650 -3.35" Replace the GNX375 with a gtx345r -2" Quote
carusoam Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 Might want to look at a similar panel with similar equipment... @donkaye has recently posted several pics... with the equipment both in and out of the panel... Don flys an M20M/Bravo. All the Long bodies essential share the same tube structure, some panels may not be as tall as each other... the depth doesn’t change. Many things are starting to go remote, even from various suppliers... Decide on the primary big box display.... Avidyne, or Garmin... then work from that... PFD... G500 or Aspen... Nothing cooler than seeing a back shelf full of fully integrated avionics boxes... Best regards, -a- Quote
MIm20c Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 You’ll need the gtr225 as the 200 is not for certified aircraft. That will add another 0.3 to the stack. We’re planning putting the annunciator above the txi and stacking the gfc above the 450/750/650. Quote

Jerry 5TJ Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 The remote audio panel and remote transponder work well with the GTN750. 2 Quote
carusoam Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/95158 GTR225... the GTR200 description states it is for light sport planes. Kind of takes up space and only has one primary function, Comm. PP looking up stuff as we go... Best regards, -a- Quote
201Mooniac Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 One option I didn't see listed is replace the GNX 375 and the GTR 225 with a GTN 650 and a remote transponder. That will save about 1" if my math is correct. 1 Quote

I have a GTX345R and it works great with the GTN750. If you really want to try and wedge it all into one stack, an SL30 or SL40 would be an option, but they're not cheap on the used market. By the time you pay for the field approval, it's probably easier to just go after certified equipment. I like physical buttons for the audio panel, but the Garmin remote audio panel would be your other option. I went PS Engineering. 1 Quote
