Mooney-Mark Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 Looks like a nice airplane for the money and given your budget! Pre-buy it, fly it and enjoy it! Then upgrade when you can afford to! 1 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 I disagree. No autopilot, no WAAS GPS, no engine monitor, non-standard panel layout, no HSI. For the same money you should get at least one, maybe two of those items. For an additional $5K you'll get two or three of them and for an additional $10K you can get a plane with all of them. 1 Quote
ChrisV Posted May 18, 2019 Report Posted May 18, 2019 For family trips VFR, I think this is a solid choice. You will have several years of fun and plenty of time to decide if you really need upgrades. This may be your forever plane and you may never need a GPS. I wouldn't want to take this IMC for very long tho. And i would not want to get my IR in it, because I think learning GPS is the most important part of the Instrument Rating. Quote
