I could replace it with a larger iPad, but then I loose my nice spot mounting it on the yoke (bigger iPads don't fit). Don't know where I'd put the thing. And that is the crux of the problem right there. I wonder why. I run WingX on my mini without issues. But I don't have anything else installed on it and I bought the largest amount of memory Apple had. -Robert Quote
toto Posted July 12, 2018 Report Posted July 12, 2018 One of the nice things about many Android-based tablets is the ability to expand storage with an SD card. Most of the EFB apps will allow you to put all downloads on the SD card, saving internal storage for the system. This can help to future-proof the tablet, and keep acquisition cost low. (Apple charges like $200 for $10 worth of flash memory, but with an Android tablet you can just buy the SD card for ten bucks online.) Quote

My iPad 2 is getting slow. I was able to get some of my lost speed back by freeing up memory, bare bones approach, and taking advice here by resetting factory settings and then restoring my fee programs left. But it’s a matter of time until upgrading. Quote
