Jerry Pressley Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Anyone have a better suggestion than using a crayon to find a bad plug? Quote
CaptRJM Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Only if you have an engine monitor. Run it up on both mags, switch to right mag, note temps, switch to left mag, note temps. There will be a noticeable EGT difference on offending cylinder. Quote
Hank Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Remove cowl. Run engine briefly. Gently touch the exhaust from each cylinder, one will be much cooler. Or use a thermometer to do the same. CBs have thick enough skin to use fingertips . . . Quote
Jerry Pressley Posted March 23, 2018 Author Report Posted March 23, 2018 we put a small blob of grease on each stack and ran it briefly on the mag with dead plug. only one did not melt the grease. thanks much for replies. 1 Quote
