mooneygirl Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 MAPA has been asked whether Mooney pilots would like to attend the monthly meeting at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum located on Houston Hobby Airport in March. They set up a special day each third Saturday of the month. They will dedicate the overall theme to Mooneys (Mooney Day at Wings and Wheels) if we can get some aircraft and owners to respond and attend. See their website http://www.1940airterminal.org/wingsandwheels/ The Ambassadors are all invited to the event, and I am hoping to find one or two point persons, Lela and Trey from MAPA would attend for the association and set-up a booth. Sound interesting? March 19th at KHOU
clh Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 I'm in the neighborhood. Let us know the details.

mooneygirl Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 If you are interested in displaying send us an email and we will put you on the list. I will work with Trey and see how many Mooneys they would like. I should be able to get a clearer sense of the schedule for the day and get that information out to those who come. Parker_Woodruff Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 There's always an offchance I need to be in Houston; so I'd consider showing up, but it might be in a C172.
MooneyMitch Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Parker. A 172 driver can promote GA to the public as well. You are more than welcome to go and do so. That's what it's all about, promoting GA and GA airports. Well, you are a Mooniac at heart, so you should have no problem talking up Mooneys too, Maybe you could make some wing and tail mods. with cardboard and duct tape to help disguise the Cessna. We could get a large Mooney logo to tape on the 172 also!!
mooneygirl Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 The event in March is shaping up nicely. We have a point person, Eric Lipper who has, I believe two or three Mooneys in his hangar. Wow that beats us For those of you who would like to watch our "How To" video, it explains what our mission is and how the Ambassador program works. Here is the link: If you are able to come to the Houston Hobby event on March 19th, please sign up via the Ambassador website. We do have several planes coming already. Sounds like a wonderful event. MAPA will be there, so it is a chance to support our professional association as well.
AustinChurch Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 This is close by and sounds like it will be a lot of fun! At this point, I will be able to attend.
