XXX Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 One of my friends keeps this chart in his toolbox. Most of the torque specs are easily found for our Mooney's but this is a handy reference to have. 1 Quote
1964-M20E Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 This chart is found in AC 43-13-1B chapter 7 If you are assisting with maintenance on you plane this is a good reference to have. The full document can be found here https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/advisory_circulars/index.cfm/go/document.information/documentID/99861 1 Quote
cnoe Posted March 24, 2017 Report Posted March 24, 2017 This similar chart is also found in chapter 5 of our Mooney Service and Maintenance Manual. Note that both charts provide values for "dry threads" and that lubricating them will require as much as 20-50% less torque. I believe it's much more common to over-tighten bolts than it is to under-tighten them.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 Quote
