Marauder Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 The big challenge I guess would be where the "center" or is that the "centre" of the TFR is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Gone Posted June 28, 2016 Author Report Posted June 28, 2016 Canajun is based on real English, as opposed to what y'all speak. 1 Quote

Hank Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Wow, we don't have Class F! Only A, B, C, D, E and G . . . What is it? Quote

If you fly in there you are screwed if it is fully restricted. Hawk, since you have a, b, c, d, e, and g... why was F skipped? These TFR are caused because of POTUS presence. Ned, I saw another one that is 30 nm radius. Hopefully I am not affected. I am in L.A. returning Saturday late. By then he will be back to his constituents. Yves Quote
Gone Posted June 29, 2016 Author Report Posted June 29, 2016 F is a permanent TFR. More like a PFR. Oh, what the heck. Just call it class F. Here is what our officialdom describes as Class F. Class F airspace is restricted. Any Class F zone will be designated either CYR (restricted), CYD (danger), or CYA (advisory). CYD is usually used for CYR areas over international waters or over blasting sites. CYA zones will also have a letter identifying the type of activity in the zone: A - aerobatics, F - aircraft testing, H - hang gliding, M - military, P - parachuting, S - soaring, T - training. For entry into a CYR or CYD zone, an aircraft needs the permission of the operating authority (PPR). Pilots may enter CYA zones at their discretion, but are encouraged to avoid them unless taking part in the activity that has classified that zone. This help? Quote
Hank Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 Wow, things are interesting up north. We have MOA (Military Operating Areas, times listed in sectional edge and/or NOTAM), R space (Restricted, each one has a number; often Hit times are in NOTAMs; when cold, VFR traffic flies through but not IFR [because it might go hot]) and TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction, details in NOTAMs). Then there is the ADIZ (Air defense Interdiction Zone, offshore around the country). And the permanent TFRs like Washington DC and Disneyworld . . . . I've never understood why we don't have F space, unless maybe our airspace system is already F'ed enough? My CFI didn't know, either, and it didn't come up on either checkride (PPL or IA). Hopefully our traveling "leader" won't cause you too many problems. Wish I could say the same thing for here! Quote
