FInally! I got the plane back. New S-TEC System 55x works great so far. The System 30 is now in my possession and available.

Part number is 01260-6-0-28 s/n 693 installed new at Mooney in 1999.

The Altitude Hold module is 01261-45-28 s/n 2247A also new in 1999. Both have an avionics FAA release form 8130

I have some of the wiring and the connectors included.

I can send pictures if you are interested in them.

I would like to see this go to a fellow Mooney owner. Make me a fair offer and it is yours.

Had my shop not wanted to do all of my upgrade as a one package deal this would have been a great opportunity. GLWS:)

Prospective buyers: Check with Genesys in the cost of the paperwork. S-TEC STCs are hull number specific. Genesys may have changed this, but Cobham wanted thousands of dollars to create the paperwork for used units.

I helped another Mooney owner with this. This was at least a year ago and things may have changed since. They wanted the system boxes back for "recertification" and charged for the STC issuance for the plane. It was a significant cost that needs to be considered.

I do believe it can be installed straight up in an experimental.

I shot an email to genesys we'll see what they say. Might beat waiting two millenia to find a BI-805 to put an AP on my PC. Is this 14V or 28V? The 28t the end means its 28 right?

I just went thru this. The STC paper work is $1500.00 and they will only sell it to an avionics shop. I had to pay the shop to verify that the system was install correctly. when you get the paper work, your serial number is assigned to it.
