Guitarmaster Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 Here is a pic from the Fiberlite installation. Almost as good as having a backlit instrument! They are pretty easy to install. Most instruments are plug and play but some required some "modification" to make them work. I am now looking forward to my first night flight! 9
Guitarmaster Posted March 6, 2016 Author Report Posted March 6, 2016 Fiber-optic powered by three LEDs for the whole panel. Nulites are incandescent wired individually. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
DXB Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 That looks beautiful. Wish i knew these existed when I redid my panel recently. The yellow incandescence of the nulites looks incongruous with the otherwise modern panel.
gsxrpilot Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 Those look great! But I don't see any Mooney's on the STC?
Guitarmaster Posted March 6, 2016 Author Report Posted March 6, 2016 Yeah, we will be doing 337 per the website. Seems silly there is no STC for Mooney. A 337 seems overkill since this really is not a "major alteration." According to the information on Spruce, that is what is required.
jetdriven Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 The installing mechanic makes that determination.

I always thought it was an aftermarket knob from a car or Radio Shack. Looks like it was factory issued. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hank Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Looks just like the one on my 1976 Chevrolet truck from high school. 1

Guitarmaster Posted April 23, 2016 Author Report Posted April 23, 2016 Here is a pic of the Fiberlites in action. I think they came out pretty good. The 337 was a non-issue. Highly recommend! 3
Yetti Posted April 23, 2016 Report Posted April 23, 2016 You don't have the red or white switch....to the down and right... interesting

Hank Posted April 23, 2016 Report Posted April 23, 2016 Those do look pretty good, brighter than my NuLites. Dim able LEDs are great, I have some at home. Do they mess up your night vision? My dining room dimmer switch was $29.95 vs. incandescent dimmers for $3.95, so I won't ask what their dimmer costs . . . What's with the racing stripe on your gear switch? Or is it a reflection of some kind?

The PWM from fiberlite was about $40.00. 2

Guitarmaster Posted October 17, 2017 Author Report Posted October 17, 2017 Do you have a link for that? It looks like they changed things. I don't see the individual dimmer listed. Any PWM dimmer will work though. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
