I've noticed with the noise canceling headsets on it is difficult to hear the gear warning and/or the stall warning. I think there is a system that will put these warnings through the headsets? If so, where are they available and what it required to install?

I have the P/N 2040-1-2 Voice Alert installed in my M20F. It sounds the stall and gear voice warning through the speaker and headset. You will hear "STALL,STALL,STALL....." or "CHECK LANDING GEAR, CHECK LANDING GEAR....." not just a generic warning horn.

As long as it is working it will prevent a gear up landing. It will be screaming at you until the gear is down and locked.

Mike, did you install it or have it done? From what I see, these are pretty pricey;  do they ever run specials? What is the cost of install? Sure looks like a good item to have.

I had it installed a few years back by Causey Aviation. I will try to look through my old bills (my next trip to the hangar) and see what the cost was to install and I will report back to you. The system also has a small microwave transmitter mounted on the bottom of the airplane which senses the ground and warns you of the landing gear being up. (In case you have too much power on to activate the throttle microswitch, which would normally trigger the warning). It has proven to be very reliable and certainly does its job well.

Correction to the above post I have P/N 2037 installed, not P/N 2040. Essentially, the same unit plus the microwave transmitter......

I do not know if they run specials or not.
