N131MA Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) For smaller maintanance jobs I am looking for the M20S service manual (or M20R) and for the M20R/S parts catalog. What would be the best way to get these? Or does anyone have them electronically? Thanks for your help! Edited November 1, 2015 by N131MA Quote
kmyfm20s Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 I bought mine though Top Gun for around $275. I'm sure you can order it any MSC. it has been very helpful. Quote
StevenL757 Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Agree the best way to get an updated manual is ring the factory or an MSC. They supply a USB memory stick with the latest manual for your model, including a full parts catalog. Price from either source is about the same (~$275). You'll probably get it faster ringing the factory, as MSCs tend not to stock them...generally. Edited November 1, 2015 by StevenL757 Quote

philiplane Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 You should always have an original maintenance & parts manual dated as close to the date of your plane's manufacture as possible. That is the "current" manual as far as the FAA is concerned. Most older manual have part numbers listed with the manufacturer's part number and a generic part number following in parentheses. As years go by, manufacturers delete the generic part numbers, making it hard to find normally priced parts. You also want to have an up-to-date manual for parts changes that are the result of product improvements or service bulletins. Quote
