KLRDMD Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 I have friends that have airplanes for sale. I've given the URL for the '66E model previously but I just created a web site for another one. It takes me five minutes to create a web site in iWeb and I own my own domain with unlimited storage and data transfer so it is no big deal to create web sites for friends' airplanes. Here they are: '66 E '65 C Quote
netPilot Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Thx for the post, I'll be checking both of these out. Quote
luv2fli Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Pretty well equipped C model for the price! Quote

Comatose Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 That is a really nice C for the price! Wish I hadn't just bought one. (sorta. I do love my new plane.) Quote

DaV8or Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Quote: aerobat95 Also is the one piece windshield a 201 windshied? Quote
aerobat95 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 I will have to give him a call when I get back from my deployment. I am very interested in this aircraft if it is clean without any major issues. The vRef lists it as a 201 style windshield. Those are around 5-6K installed right? Can a 430 be upgraded to a W? if so what is the price on that? Quote
scottfromiowa Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 Check out the post with the MAPA Jimmy valuation. Gives values for Waas and Windshield, etc...Good stuff. Thanks to whomever posted it. I had fun doing my plane. Quote
KSMooniac Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 The 430 can be upgraded to a W for $3000 plus installation labor. A new antenna (included in the $3k to Garmin) must be installed, and new coax cable may or may not be required, which might cost a few hundred to install. Support for the non-WAAS will go away due to parts scarcity, so sooner or later one will be forced to upgrade if it needs to be serviced. I agree that the E does not have a 201 windshield. There are several 1-pc replacements with the original pre-J contour, and this plane appears to have one. Quote
