SuperPilot Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 Noticed on my last couple flights that there is air seeping through the bottom of the entry door. I took and look and the seal is really mashed down and needs replaced. Any suggestions on where to get them cheap? Thanks Quote
carusoam Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 There is a thread or five for this... José recommends a Walmart version and somebody else was talking about getting some manufactured... Try this... http://mooneyspace.com/topic/11467-silicone-mooney-door-seal/?hl=%2Bsilicone+%2Bdoor+%2Bseal Or search inflatable door seal with the 'forum' attribute in the search box up top.... Best regards, -a- Quote

Ned Gravel Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Ned, did you find it locally? Yves Yves: Yes. Canadian Tire. Quote
Guest Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Yves: Yes. Canadian Tire. Be sure to pick it up in the aviation isle, not the automotive isle. Clarence Quote
mooniac15u Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Aircraft Door Seals makes a fine product (had one on my M20D) but it seems that their only option for the baggage door is one that attaches to the airframe rather than the door. I also get that the automotive stuff works well.... But let's assume someone was interested in an OEM seal. Is Mooney (via an MSC) our only option? Who makes the seals for Mooney? Can we buy them online somewhere? Quote
